An excerpt from the long-term research Sizígia — cosmology of the low tide, in which Uiler Costa-Santos photographs aerial landscapes of the Baía de Todos os Santos during the alignment of Earth, Sun and full Moon, when the tides are pushed to their limit. The exhibition sets up a game of abstraction through the landscape, via marine reliefs in contact with the fishing technology of traditional sea workers — the pesqueiros, wooden circles that let fishing be understood not as extraction but as a form of relation and communication between humans and non-humans. First shown at the Museu de Arte da Bahia (2022) and restaged at Sesc Nova Iguaçu (2024), selected through the Sesc Pulsar culture open call.
